Job Title: Java Developer [#DEV-JAVA]Location: MontrealDescription

As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for:

  1. Participating in the design and development of our customers' projects (new applications, development of new functionalities on existing applications, problem correction and maintenance).
  2. Helping define the architecture of innovative solutions to meet our customers' objectives and requirements.
  3. Defining technical and functional specifications.
  4. Evaluating development efforts for new solutions or improvements.
  5. Putting developed solutions into production and managing change.
  6. Participating in management's pre-sales efforts (effort evaluations, technology analysis).
  7. Guaranteeing the highest development standards by following the software development cycle (code review, unit testing).
  8. Supporting the continuous improvement of development activities (agility, code assembly, automated testing, deployment, etc.).
  9. Providing support to your colleagues and mentoring juniors.
  10. Staying aware of new solutions and technologies on the market.
  11. Working with Agile - Scrum teams.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or software.
  2. Solid knowledge of object-oriented development in Java (knowledge of the Spring framework is a plus).
  3. Solid knowledge of Front-End development (React, Angular, VueJS).
  4. Strong relational database skills (use of ORMs and DAOs such as Hibernate, SQL language, ETL). Knowledge of noSQL databases is a plus.
  5. Good knowledge of basic DevOps concepts (Azure DevOps is a plus).
  6. Knowledge of other programming languages: C#, PHP, Node.JS, Python.
  7. Experience working in an Agile and collaborative environment.
  8. Knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
  9. Bilingual French/English.
  10. Good interpersonal skills and a love of teamwork.
