City Experiences is seeking a Director of Marine Operations for our City Cruises Toronto operation in Toronto.

About You:
This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:
The Director, Marine Operations is a seasoned Marine leader that will manage and lead the Marine department. This includes, vessel operations including aspects of prudent seamanship, capital improvements, systems maintenance and repairs, and financial management of the marine department. The Director is responsible for the execution of the Port’s cruises to ensure consistently high levels of safety, quality, service, and customer satisfaction while maintaining a high level of profitability. This position reports to the General Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the direction and leadership of the Marine Operations Department
  2. Will act as the project lead during new vessel builds, equipment upgrades, vessel maintenance and repair including major rehabs and equipment overhauls
  3. Is accountable to manage and oversee all capital purchasing and manage the department’s budget
  4. Monitors and ensures compliance with all provincial, federal and industry specific legislation and company standards set for all projects and daily operations
  5. Manages and develops external relationships including all authorities, regulators, local stakeholders, contractors, suppliers and consultants.
