Training Required: Yes- BIGS must attend a Mandatory Orientation- Wed, June 26 at 6pm at the downtown Sarnia Library

Training Provided: Yes- resources and tip sheets provided at the Orientation

Skills Required: Patient, kind, encouraging natureAvid reader and enthusiastic in modelling the love of readingPrompt, reliable, and committed to the programA great mentor and enjoys spending time with childrenCreativity to come up with different ways to help Little Buddies learn to read

Activities: Your mission: to spark the love of reading for a Little Buddy and provide regular reading practice with a weekly meetingBIGS will meet their assigned Littles at the downtown Sarnia library reception. Together with their Little they will find an age, interest, and reading skill-appropriate book (s) and a quiet spot to read. Each Little has 1/2 session. This means that as a BIG you could be paired with up to four Little Buddies each week.
