Position Overview

As a Childhood Development Program Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in fostering the growth and development of young children in a nurturing environment. This permanent position requires a commitment to bilingual communication and offers flexible working hours ranging from 30 to 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a related field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute child-care programs that encourage the holistic development of children.
  • Oversee and mentor staff, trainees, and volunteers.
  • Assess and communicate children's progress to parents.
  • Support early childhood educators in implementing developmental programs.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Foster creativity in children through various artistic and physical activities.
  • Engage children with storytelling, music, and crafts.
  • Guide children in developing healthy habits.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and challenges.
  • Stay informed about licensing regulations.
  • Build collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.

Supervision

Responsible for supervising a team of 5-10 individuals.

Certifications Required
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Membership in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
