What You'll Bring:

  • This position requires a College diploma or University degree in a business, legal studies or a related field (or equivalent combination of work and educational experience). 
  • At least 5 years of professional work experience functioning in a compliance or risk related function
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks where priorities shift and determine when to escalate issues.
  • The incumbent must be able to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization. 
  • Ability to work on projects independently and within project groups. 
  • Pre-existing knowledge of regulated environments, with an emphasis on consumer issues and privacy statutes.
  • Experience reviewing legislation, legal documents and contracts and monitoring and drafting processes or procedures. 
  • CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) certification would be an asset
  • Bilingual in French (spoken and written) is required. Some travel may be required.

Impact You'll Make:

A breakdown of this position’s duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the various business units and the Compliance team in maintaining compliance with legislation, contractual obligations, and TransUnion policies. 
  • Assist/consult with business units in defining, creating, documenting and implementing compliance processes and procedures in their operational areas
  • Create and/or update existing Compliance department policies and procedures.
  • Perform internal assessments against Compliance Department policies and procedures and keep management informed of deviations. 
  • Perform external customer audits, analyzing customer access to ensure compliance with legal agreements and internal policies and procedures and making recommendations, including suspensions or terminations, as necessary. 
  • Support the Compliance Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Issue Management program
  • Gather data, analyze issues and make recommendations to ensure business unit compliance with existing policies and procedures. May also recommend and monitor the implementation of solutions for compliance issues encompassing various functional areas to ensure adherence to internal policies, federal and provincial regulations and to minimize legal exposure and liability.
  • To assist and participate as a stakeholder and consultant in projects/initiatives where compliance expertise is required.
  • Perform risk assessments on business units to ensure compliance with TransUnion policies, contractual and legislative obligations

  • Créer et/ou mettre à jour les politiques et procédures existantes du service de la Conformité.
  • Effectuer des évaluations internes par rapport aux politiques et procédures du service de la Conformité et tenir la direction informée des écarts.
  • Effectuer des audits clients externes, analyser l'accès des clients pour garantir le respect des accords juridiques et des politiques et procédures internes et formuler des recommandations, y compris des suspensions ou des résiliations, si nécessaire.
  • Soutenir le programme de Conformité, de continuité des activités, de gestion de crise et de gestion des problèmes.
  • Recueillir des données, analyser les problèmes et formuler des recommandations pour assurer la conformité de l'unité commerciale aux politiques et procédures existantes. Peut également recommander et surveiller la mise en œuvre de solutions aux problèmes de conformité englobant divers domaines fonctionnels afin d'assurer le respect des politiques internes, des réglementations fédérales et provinciales et de minimiser l'exposition et la responsabilité juridiques.
  • Assister et participer en tant que partie prenante et consultant dans des projets/initiatives où une expertise en matière de conformité est requise.
  • Effectuer des évaluations des risques sur les unités commerciales pour assurer la conformité aux politiques de TransUnion et aux obligations contractuelles et législatives.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
