- General Legal matters (regulatory and legislative policy monitoring)
- Trademarks
- Overall Corporate Policies (Investments, HR, IT etc.)
- Due diligence and M&A activities, whether in the operating company or through a direct investment
- Business Continuity Management
- Privacy Officer
- Compliance Officer
- Management of the Whistle blower Channel
- Annual Business Risk Assessment Process and ongoing reporting
- Licensing process
- E & O Reporting and Management
- Best practice on Data security, including SOC II and Privacy, and adherence to changing legal requirements
- Contract negotiation, review and ongoing compliance
- Work with HR on policies procedures, Health and safety and employee relations issues
- Deployment of new regulatory and legislative matters
- CIG Director, Compliance and Quality Assurance
- You’re a certified professional. The successful candidate must have been called to the Bar in Ontario.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal work experience (law firm or in-house)
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with experience simplifying and resolving complex problems
- Highly focused with attention to detail and ability to collaborate well with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a practical solution-oriented approach
- Demonstrated superior skill in legal drafting, including agreements and contracts.
- Superior organizational and time management skills with experience handling multiple priorities and requests.
