About this opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Hub, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will support the talent acquisition team in the day-to-day coordination and administration of the recruitment process. In this role, you will partner with your talent acquisition and HR team members and the hiring managers to ensure and support a seamless hiring experience for candidates and hiring managers.


Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day

  • Ensure all job postings are posted and managed in a timely manner;
  • Facilitate and complete any background checks and references, including follow-ups with our third party vendor and/or candidates as required;
  • Follow up/communicate with candidates as directed by the talent acquisition team;
  • Support sourcing and any social recruiting activities;
  • Follow up with candidates to ensure all new hire documentation is ready/completed prior to their start date;
  • Input new hire information into the HRIS system (or other systems as required) including all related documentation;
  • Support new hire employee orientation and any associated preparation materials;
  • Ensure compliance of all current HR policies and procedures;
  • Support the organization of regional campus recruitment activities and events;
  • Be a brand ambassador and promote CBI as an employer of choice online and all appropriate forums/events;
  • Support with all other recruitment administrative tasks as required.

Here’s What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • A university degree is required;
  • An HR designation is considered an asset;
  • 1-2 years of administrative/recruitment experience required;
  • Ability to work independently and also as an effective member of a team;
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A superior focus on the details, proactive and tech-savvy approach;
  • Proficient with various computer programs (e.g. MS Word Suite, Outlook).

All team members are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination upon hire or provide a valid medical exemption.
