THE ROLE

As a Content Creator, you will drive our digital storytelling efforts, creating compelling visual content that enhances brand engagement and awareness. You will work closely with the Marketing, Retail and Brand Teams to produce high-quality multimedia content for various platforms. This role involves ideation, production, and optimization of content that aligns with our brand's narrative and resonates with our audience. The Content Creator will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Marketing and Brand teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualize, coordinate, shoot, and edit engaging video and still content for social media channels and websites.
  • Proactively look for opportunities for RunAsYouAre to participate in conversations through comments or video responses across social media channels.
  • Collaborate with the Retail, Marketing and Brand team to develop and oversee the company's content calendar to position RunAsYouAre as a leading brand in the running space.
  • Manage social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling and engagement with users; respond to comments and messages and cultivate meaningful conversations.
  • Pitch content ideas to the management that will set RunAsYouAre apart in the social media landscape while adhering to brand guidelines.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Proficient at spotting emerging social media trends and crafting engaging content that aligns with our brand and participates in the online conversation.
  • Skilled in developing monthly and quarterly content strategies, proactively suggesting new ideas and solutions to keep our social media presence dynamic and relevant.
  • Experienced in creating diverse content, from quick social posts to high-quality shoots, with strong abilities in photography, videography, and design.
  • Talented at building, shooting, and editing compelling stories tailored to each social platform.
  • Collaborative team player, working seamlessly with creative teams to bring ideas to life.
  • Effective at managing multiple projects, ensuring quick turnaround times, capturing trending moments, and delivering high-quality, timely work.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE'S

  • A passion and interest in running
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Film Production, Visual Arts, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in content creation, preferably in a digital marketing or social media role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, passionate about storytelling and engaging with audiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, including experience with Meta Business Manager and TikTok Business Manager.
  • Expertise in desktop and mobile editing – ie. Final Cut, CapCut, Canva, etc.
  • Flexibility to adjust schedules to work evenings and/or weekends due to activations and events.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

NICE TO HAVE'S

  • Existing and active personal social media presence
  • Experience/curiosity in leveraging AI tools for content creation

COMPENSATION

The compensation range is $45,000 to $55,000, plus other perks and benefits.
