This is anexciting/challenging position where the chosen candidate will be theSME ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our client'soperations whilst providing mentoring/leadership to junior memberswithin the DevOps practice. Our client is looking to pay a basicsalary between £65,000 to £75,000 + 15% bonus with a phenomenalbenefits package to be based in Chatham or Wolverhampton 3 x PW.

To be considered for this role you must be able todemonstrate strong capabilities in Azure DevOps methodologies with theability to implement CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with the dataengineering team.

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelinesfor data projects, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand projectrequirements and develop appropriate DevOps solutions.
  • Mentorand provide training to junior team members on DevOps practices,tools, and techniques.
  • Identify areas for process improvementand implement solutions to streamline development workflows.
  • Monitor system performance and implement optimizations toensure the reliability and availability of data pipelines andservices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams totroubleshoot issues, implement fixes, and ensure timely resolution oftechnical challenges.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends,emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps and dataengineering.
  • Document processes, configurations, and bestpractices to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability of datainfrastructure and pipelines.

Keytechnical skill-set:

  • Proven leadership capabilitiesin regards to project implementation coupled with the ability tomentor/coach/train junior team members is a must have.
  • Recentexperience in hands-on delivery of DevOps, Engineering, SolutionDesign, and Cloud Architecture is essential
  • Strongcapabilities in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment(CI/CD) experience and knowledge are essential
  • Significantexperience in Creating, managing, and interacting with GITrepositories is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloudservices, including Azure Active Directory, App Services, Azure SQLDatabase, Azure Synapse, and Azure Virtual Machines are essential
  • Relevant qualification in Azure is a must-have
  • Minimum of 3 years within a DevOps SME position.
  • Demonstrable experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) isdesirable
