Your Impact:

The resource will be part of a Managed Services team providing Application Management and Maintenance for OpenText customers spread across the globe. Wide breadth of skills enabling one to solve complex problems in the areas of Application Availability, Performance and Capacity both in terms of incidents and problems. Experience in Production Operations (or Support) plus Software Maintenance (bug fixing, code maintenance) are a must.

What the role offers:

  1. Install, configure, maintain and monitor one or more OpenText (OT) products/solutions in the Cloud: OT Cloud, Customer premises, or 3rd party IaaS.
  2. Troubleshoot and find resolutions/workarounds to incidents.
  3. Design, develop and test fixes for problems arising on top of customizations to OT products.
  4. Research and fix problems in configuration mainly at Application Level, also demonstrating adequate knowledge of OS and Network as applications work in that context. Problems can be related to availability, performance, or capacity.
  5. Assist the project team in the development of customizations.
  6. Work on performance tuning.
  7. Perform deployments and applying product patches. Perform Upgrades, Migrations.
  8. Design and Implement Monitoring, Logging and Orchestration requirements regardless of hosting type: Physical, Virtual Machines, Containers etc.
  9. Work in shifts: Morning, Regular, Afternoon and Night on rotation basis.
  10. Owning and Supervising Technical Operations.
  11. Achieving adherence and exceeding Service Level and Delivery commitments to clients.
  12. Gauging the client pulse and is proactive in ensuring success.

What you need to succeed:

8+ years of experience supporting OpenText Content Server or LiveLink including development and maintenance of customizations. Exposure to remote administration services, or cloud operations environment.

Technical skills:

  1. Programming and scripting: Core Java, J2EE (Certification preferred), HTML, Ajax, OScript.
  2. Operating Systems: Linux and/or Windows.
  3. Containerization and Kubernetes.
  4. Web and application servers (any one or more of): Tomcat, Apache, IIS.
  5. Directory Services: Open-LDAP, Active Directory, OTDS.
  6. Database: MSSQL, Oracle (DML and routine maintenance tasks).
  7. Troubleshooting and debugging.
  8. Excellent communication / presentation / verbal and written communication skills.

Definite Plus:

  1. Prior experience working in an ISO27001 certified work environment.
