About the Role
This market facing role is responsible for leading a team of Account Managers selling and promoting enrollment growth opportunities for all CHPW products and services. Success depends on developing strong relationships with multiple partner organizations including Community Health Centers (CHCs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Lead Organizations, Preferred Providers, and Washington Health Benefit Exchange www.wahealthplanfinder.org. The position has direct responsibility for achieving yearly enrollment and retention targets.
To be successful in this role, you:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years in a management capacity leading a Business Development, Sales, or Marketing team.
- Have a minimum of three (3) years working in the healthcare industry, with managed care experience strongly preferred.
- Have experience with customer relations, vendor negotiations, and management is strongly preferred.
- Are available to work evenings and weekends; willing to travel, including the possibility of overnight travel, and need to have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable automobile.
- Possess a valid Washington state disability license (non-provisional), which must be maintained for the duration of employment.
- If the license is obtained after the start of employment, it must be active within 90 days of hire.
Essential functions and Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop team strategy, enrollment goals, and foster a growth mindset aligned with company growth targets.
- Advise, support, and track monthly performance to ensure impactful enrollment growth and compliance with regulations while executing growth plans with partners effectively.
- Develop and strengthen strategically targeted community partnerships, including executive-level relationships.
- Create quarterly business plans with shared performance objectives for enrollment and patient growth.
- Lead critical conversations and facilitate successful resolutions during challenging times.
- Serve as a visible member of the community, advocating for Community Health Plan of Washington (CHPW), our members and business partners.
- Understand the local marketplace and the key players that operate within that marketplace.
- Represent and serve as an ambassador of CHPW at public meetings and events in the community, leveraging our mission and purpose to promote CHPW's brand reputation and value proposition publicly.
- Attend and support key community partner events, ensuring effective event planning by field staff.
- Collaborate with Marketing to implement go-to-market strategies across all CHPW products.
- Identify growth opportunities within our portfolio and engage CHCs and CBOs in co-branded marketing activities for outreach and enrollment campaigns.
- Provide recommendations on partner program tools, incentives, and go-to-market messaging.
- Collaborate with internal CHPW departments, including Compliance, Public Policy, Legal, Health Services, Provider Relations, Regional Managers, and Payor Programs, to ensure alignment and compliance in sales and marketing activities, as well as joint efforts impacting community partnerships.
- Monitor departmental budget expenses and reporting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Understanding of clinical, operational, and financial drivers of healthcare industry and organizations
- Proficiency working with CRM systems and tracking productivity results of staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Organizational, time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
- Advanced analytical and technical skills; the ability to work independently on projects with little supervision.

Compensation and Benefits:
The position is FLSA Exempt and is not eligible for overtime. Based on market data, this position is at grade 69 and is eligible to participate in the Community Health Plan of Washington Sales Incentive Plan. Sales incentive payments are subject to the plan document provisions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
