Role Statement:

Ensure the company achieves the required performance within their area of responsibility, lending technical expertise and customer-facing communication skills, with specific deep aptitude in Thermal Management.

Additional technical extension covering integrated solutions that include thermal management, power, controls, and ancillaries.

Provide relevant technical support and trainings to Customers and Sales for products and solutions.

Provide Key Account Sales with pre-sales technical support when building proposals, quotes and tenders.

Provide technical expertise for projects with strategic customers in collaboration with sales.

Provide technically advanced and price competitive application engineering and adaptation of products and solutions to fulfill customer requirements where standard products are not sufficient.

Organize and host events to demonstrate Vertiv products and technologies to audiences of varied technical knowledge, including hands-on operation of integrated solution with low-density and high-density thermal management.

Work closely with consultants to understand their requirements and collaboratively develop effective solutions.

Work with consultants to drive the specification; ability to influence designs through expertise, earning ‘trusted advisor’ status.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and work experience

School Background: engineering background or equivalent education with proven field experience especially in Thermodynamics.

Desired previous working experience: extensive experience in Thermal products, expertise in thermodynamic properties, and ‘hands on’ understanding and application of thermal products in lab and end user environments solutions, including design & test parameters, operation, and commissioning.

Solid experience matured in adjacent markets and in similar positions.

Basic Skills

Language skills: fluent English written and verbal required, German and French are nice-to-have.

Excellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Customer/Sales orientation.

Core competencies

High focus on customer needs. Must have practical experiences with Thermal products, and deep domain expertise in applied thermodynamics. Beneficial to have technical knowledge of the Vertiv product portfolio, and the ability to build solutions applicable for data center and edge IT environments.

Experience in quoting/proposing/installing/managing projects. Disciplined, self-motivated and proactive. Able to combine long term and short-term goals by setting priorities.

Organizational skills and familiar with a decentralized environment but at the same time able to work in a team. Ability to interact with all levels within the organization from entry level to executive.

Beneficial to have proficiency in using C1, Oracle Sales Cloud, Vertiv Solutions Designer, CFD modeling, Hirating tool. Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD systems. Well informed on standards and contractual regulation issues.
