Job Status: Contract – 1 year

As the Marketing Manager, you will lead in the planning, development and management of marketing communications and long-term marketing plans for the Canadian region. This will include but is not limited to brand management, internal and external communications, advertising, events and sponsorships, marketing collateral, social media and marketing operations

Your key responsibilities will be the following:

  • Continually raise the profile of the Company’s brand as North America’s premier commercial trailer supplier and dealer.
  • Scope, write, develop and manage external communications – news publications, etc. in alignment with North American requirements and direction.
  • Write, develop and manage content from key stakeholders to create internal communications on various platforms (newsletters, intranet, handouts, posters, and email).
  • Work in alignment with TEN HQ, manage the branding roll out, conduct strict review of brand element usage, and visual representation of the brand, both within the marketing team and across Canada. Coordinate nationwide marketing efforts to promote brand consistency and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and manage external marketing relationships, including press, media and advertising contacts, charitable association relations, and industry associations.
  • Recommend advertising mediums - print, digital or otherwise. Manage ownership of the advertising plan including creative management, execution and facilitation.
  • Lead and manage SEO/SEM, the Company’s website, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns as required.
  • Assist with the planning and management of industry and company events.
  • Develop and execute marketing collateral within branding guidelines using various programs, such as Microsoft, Adobe Suite and InDesign.
  • Work in alignment with the Company’s North American presence by creating and managing social media strategy and content on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, including analytics and reporting.
  • Ensure efficient processes, execution, and ability to track marketing initiatives; Ensure systems and collateral are up to date, including but not limited to website, merchandise, and printed materials.
  • Support branches and functional teams across Canada with marketing related inquiries ranging from signage, collateral, communications, and general marketing support.
  • Assist with other duties including researching, competitive analysis and survey designing.
  • Utilizing Video/Photo tools to assist in the generation of collateral.
  • Working on Communications related to writing, distribution, management of delivery.

To be successful you’ll need to have the following skills and abilities:

  • Project & Planning experience; ability to multi-task multiple demands
  • Experience in brand management and roll out of new Company brand
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills. Able to converse in the language of marketing agencies, printers, programmers and advertisers.
  • Great interpersonal skills and able to interact with all levels of the company.
  • Vast experience in communications, from writing to content development and management.
  • Knowledge of print production cycle, submitting files to print and expertise with all file formats.
  • Project management skills with strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines.
  • Knowledge of standard business applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
  • Basic graphic design skills and publication experience with Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign programs.
  • Basic website experience, including use of WordPress to update sites.
  • Experience using CRM; Salesforce experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing databases.
  • Experience with managing and creating content for social media and digital-and-online presence.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of French is considered an asset.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

  • A University or College degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline
  • 5+ years of Marketing and Communications experience and/or related education/experience
  • Excellent Project Management skills (critical) and Time-Management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with different personalities and levels of organizations
  • Creative, Resourceful, Self-motivated and with excellent Independent skills.
  • Experience working in crisis communication.
