Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team for the summer (July-August). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth patient flow and efficient operations. Additional training will be provided.

Duties:

  1. Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  2. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
  3. Maintain electronic medical records with accuracy and confidentiality
  4. Verify insurance information and process payments
  5. Assist with billing and coding tasks as needed
  6. Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care
  7. Keep the reception area organized and tidy

Skills:

  1. Proficiency in office procedures and equipment
  2. Experience with Healthquest software
  3. Knowledge of front desk operations in a medical office setting
  4. Familiarity with phone systems and etiquette
  5. Previous experience as a Receptionist or in a similar role
  6. Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
  7. Ability to work with electronic medical records systems
  8. Understanding of medical terminology and procedures
