Under the general direction of the OR/PACU Unit Manager, the OR/P.A.R. nurse provides direct nursing care to the peri-operative patient according to established standards/policies and provides work direction to nursing and non-nursing staff as required. The OR/P.A.R. nurse assesses the physical and psychological needs; plans, implements, evaluates, and documents the nursing care for the patient during the peri-operative process, and the immediate post-operative period. Call is required.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 07:15 to 15:15
New Wage: As of April 1, 2024 the new wage is: $41.42 - $55.91/hour
Dawson Creek & District Hospital is a full-service community hospital that provides service to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 acute care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Dawson Creek is the orthopaedic trauma and surgical centre for the Northeast region of BC. Services include:

Visiting Specialists Include:

Qualifications:
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Current Level C CPR certification required.
- Post graduate certificate in perioperative nursing or a minimum of one-year recent related experience in peri-operative nursing.
