Jacob Bros Construction is expanding our Equipment Division, and we're immediately hiring an Equipment Manager to support our state-of-the-art shop and maintance facility in South Surrey.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain all equipment and facilities, including but not limited to, machinery, vehicles, and shop facilities.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of equipment.
Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment and facilities to identify any issues or potential risks.
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and reduce repair costs.
Maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment, ensuring that records are up to date and properly documented.
Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure that equipment and facility needs are met within budget constraints.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, identifying and addressing any potential hazards or non-compliant practices.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to equipment implementing new technologies or processes as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate.
Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation principles.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
Proven experience in equipment management in construction.
Knowledge of regulations related to equipment
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of equipment maintenance and repair processes.
Excellent computer skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as necessary.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
Red Seal Certified journey person - Heavy Duty an asset.
10+ years experience working around heavy equipment, with the majority in a construction related firm.
