Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Operations Engineer with a strong Refinery and chemicals background to join Refinery to Chemicals (RTC) Division of the LTC Business & Project Development Department. The role involves optimizing the refinery and chemicals sites integration study, evaluating and selecting licensors for various projects, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance. The Sr. Operations Engineer will be part of the Project Development & Technology team reporting to the Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and screen technology options for the Baseline Configuration.
  • Align technology input for LP, opex, and major considerations for facilities scope.
  • Review technology options and outputs from the LP model.
  • Define the Process technology road map and engage with technology licensors/providers.
  • Outline Pre-FEED/FEED plans and deliverables for facility design basis.
  • Lead technology options evaluation and screening process.
  • Participate in hazard studies and analyses such as HAZOP.
  • Provide technical inputs on selected technologies and sensitivity cases.
  • Identify third-party involvement opportunities and liaise with vendors/suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Successful candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15+ years experience in Refining & Chemicals business.
  • Strong background in Refinery operations and technical knowledge.
  • Experience in Refinery-Chemicals integration.
  • Proficiency in analyzing process yields and qualities.
  • Understanding of economics and capital efficiency in the industry.
  • Previous involvement in Refinery capital projects.
  • Knowledge of molecule optimization and synergy integration.
  • Ability to execute projects and demonstrate commercial understanding.
  • Familiarity with technical interface management and coordination.
  • Business development background.
