Shipping Associate

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Shipping Associate is responsible for ensuring all shipments are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Inspect all products coming in from the picking floor and verify accuracy against packing slips
  2. Consolidate all products coming in from the picking floor together with their corresponding order
  3. Create Bill of Ladings for outbound shipments
  4. Shrink wrap shipments on skids
  5. Process various courier shipments in their online portals
  6. Use pump truck to move shipments into shipping lanes
  7. Assist customers at Pick-Up Window
  8. Assist drivers for carriers when they arrive
  9. Keep shipping area clean, including outside ramp and under dock doors
  10. Various projects as assigned by Shipping Manager / Shipping Leads

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience in a similar position is a must and able to work overtime
  2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many packages are large
  3. Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  4. Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing
  5. Experience with software such as Microsoft Outlook
  6. Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse
  7. Experience using a forklift and professional forklift certification is strongly preferred
  8. Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
  9. Personal accountability and integrity are paramount, as a shipping clerk is tasked with an accurate accounting of all inventory
  10. Relevant customer service experience is a plus as shipping clerks interact with customers
