If you've got a knack for cracking algorithms, a passion for perfecting meta tags, and love seeing websites climb the rankings, this may be your dream role An SEO Strategist will be responsible for managing the strategic direction of accounts in a variety of verticals, working collaboratively with internal teams to create and execute custom strategies.This is an exciting position at a fast-moving agency aimed at always delivering best in class marketing services, on the cutting edge. We’re working in a hybrid model with 2+ days a week in the office (including free lunches) and we’re looking for someone who is located in or around the GTA with the ability to travel to our West End location.About The Influence AgencyThe Influence Agency is a team of digital marketing professionals that specialize in custom Digital Marketing Campaigns. Abilities & Skills
  • Expert understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
  • Extensive knowledge of SEO tools & software such as GSC, GA4, Ahrefs, Surfer SEO, SEMRush, Wordpress
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify optimization opportunities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful SEO strategies across various industries
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in SEO, understanding how to transform trends into actionable SEO strategies
  • Ability to craft engaging narratives and tell stories using industry-leading tools and data insights
Experience
  • At least 3 years of hands-on SEO experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Agency experience is required
Key Responsibilities The ebbs and flows of work at an agency may require you to pitch in on a variety of projects in different ways. The right candidate will embrace the diversity of this environment, and view it as an opportunity to learn and try new things. SEO Strategy Development
  • Conduct comprehensive SEO audits for client websites to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities
  • Develop tailored SEO strategies aligned with each client's business goals and objectives
  • Research keywords, analyze competition, and identify target audiences to optimize website content and structure
  • Provide recommendations for on-page optimization, off-page strategies, and technical improvements
  • Present key recommendations and insights to clients in a compelling way
  • Stay informed about algorithm updates and industry changes to adjust strategies accordingly
SEO Execution and Coordination
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility, traffic, and conversion rates
  • Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, and other relevant metrics to track the effectiveness of SEO campaigns
  • Coordinate with content creators, web developers, and designers to ensure SEO strategies are implemented effectively
Client Communications
  • Support Account Managers and leadership in client communications to ensure successful program delivery and client servicing for all SEO-related matters
  • Provide insights for regular client updates on campaign performance and progress
  • Offer strategic guidance and recommendations to clients to maximize their online presence
  • Address account inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications
  • Graduate of College or University
Excellent to Have
  • Experience with various CMS platforms
  • Project management experience
  • Understanding of paid search advertising
  • A talent for writing and copy creation
  • Knowledge of web development and reading/writing code
