We are looking for an experienced Tax Supervisor to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead and manage multiple operations of the tax practice area, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while providing strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical skills and a strong ability to build client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee tax planning and compliance for high net-worth individuals, ensuring accurate and timely filing of T3s, T1s, and other relevant tax forms.
  • Provide expert guidance on estate planning strategies to optimize tax benefits for clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, delivering exceptional service and fostering strong client relationships.
  • Assist with audit processes and provide necessary documentation and information to auditors as required.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional growth.
  • Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies.
  • Work closely with other departments and team members to provide comprehensive tax solutions and support firm-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) designation completed.
  • Proven experience in estate planning and working with high-net-worth individuals. Familiarity with T3s and T1s is essential. Audit experience is a plus.
  • Preferably from small to mid-sized firms, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within these environments.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues, provide solutions, and make sound decisions.
