About the role

Rippling is looking for a highly-motivated and proactive Compliance Testing Specialist to assist with our compliance program across our product suite including payments and lending financial services. You will partner closely with our Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Product teams to drive an assurance program our our key controls. You have a passion for efficiency and building scalable approaches in the ever-changing world of technology and product growth. You are a self-starter and take pride in working cross-functionally to deliver observations on identifying key risks or enchantments to current practices. That’s where you come in. The Compliance Testing Specialist will be responsible for conducting compliance tests, assessments, and reviews to ensure the company adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role involves analyzing processes, identifying areas of non-compliance, and recommending corrective actions to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Compliance Testing: Perform regular compliance testing on various processes, transactions, and systems to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.

Develop Testing Plans: Create comprehensive testing plans and procedures, including defining the scope, objectives, and methodology.

Identify and Report Issues: Identify compliance issues and risks through testing activities, and prepare detailed reports on findings. Recommend corrective actions and monitor their implementation.

Policy and Procedure Review: Review and evaluate company policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with current regulations.

Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance requirements. Provide guidance and support in implementing compliance measures.

Training and Education: Assist in developing and delivering training programs on compliance-related topics to employees.

Stay Informed: Keep abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and industry standards. Update compliance testing processes as needed to reflect changes.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all compliance testing activities and findings.

You have:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.

Experience: At least 3 years of experience in compliance testing, auditing, or a related field. (experience in payments, lending, and money transmission regulatory compliance is a plus)

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to the industry. Familiarity with compliance frameworks and best practices.

Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Excellent communicator both internally and externally, with ability to break down complex regulatory requirements into easy-to-understand and practical advice.

Proficiency in using compliance testing tools and software.
