Regional Sales Engineer, Commercial Air Conditioning (VRF)

POSITION SUMMARY

 Reporting to the VP of Air Conditioning & Energy Solutions, this position is the key to LG’s Commercial Air Conditioning’s continuing success and growth. The candidate must possess strongcommunication and technical skills.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIIBLITIES

  • Establishing a target list of key design engineers within the assigned territory and refine continuously
  • Uncovering and calling on key decision makers in the market to drive LG growth
  • Providing on-going training and education of design engineers, owners and contractors regarding Variable Refrigerant Flow technology and LG advantages
  • Working with design engineers in laying out projects with LG as basis of design, utilizing our LATS design program
  • Generating favorable LG specifications with design engineers
  • Assisting engineers in energy consumption modeling for LG VRF versus competitive VRF and competitive traditional HVAC designs
  • Assisting local independent representatives in driving and sales activities with design engineers, owners, and contractors
  • Tracking project status and following up
  • Managing relationships with design engineers, independent LG representatives and distributors, building owners, Developers, and mechanical contractors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Sales Engineer calling on consulting engineers in the HVAC industry. Ontario experience is preferable
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) and/or Professional Engineer (P.Eng) Designation
  • Knowledge of VRF and LEED certification are desired
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory (Ontario)
  • Experience presenting to higher levels within the organization, distributor management, engineers, developers, and contractors
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and customer oriented
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
