Position Overview

The City of Kamloops is seeking a Permanent, Full-Time Finance Analyst to join our finance team. This position supports the organization to make informed business decisions based on data and financial analysis. The Finance Analyst will have an eye for detail and enjoy problem-solving. The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Completion of a business-focused degree from an accredited university or post-secondary institution, including the completion of management accounting, financial accounting, statistical, and economic courses.
  • Proficient in intermediate Word and intermediate Excel as demonstrated through testing (70% pass rate required).
  • Minimum two years’ previous accounting experience that includes working with electronic applications and software programs, the manipulation of data sets, and the analysis and interpretation of results.
  • Proficient in advanced alphanumeric data entry as demonstrated through testing.

Hours & Days of Work

Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (Modified Scheduling Agreement 1 extra day off every third week)

Hourly Rate

$38.451
