About the Opportunity
The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a casual IT Support Analyst based in Lake Country, BC.

Reporting to the Information Manager, the IT Support Analyst will be responsible for providing IT related support on behalf of the District. The IT Support Analyst will primarily provide in person technology support to District staff and elected officials at regular meetings, typically every second Tuesday evening, as well as adhoc Council meetings. On occasion and as needed, may provide in person, telephone and email support on desktop hardware, software and related equipment installations, upgrades, moves, changes and troubleshooting.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited:

  • Provide in-person technology support at regular and adhoc Council meetings
  • Assist in the evaluation, installation, and configuration of software and hardware
  • Provide advice and assistance to users regarding the use of computer applications and hardware, communication systems and related equipment
  • Investigate, assess, and resolve hardware and software problems.

More About You
To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of three years’ related work experience in IT or a related field, with preference given to municipal experience. Additionally, minimum of a two-year certificated program, or equivalent education towards a credential from an accredited post-secondary institution. Experience with ITSM based service desk solutions and end user support, a valid BC Driver’s License and clear Driver’s Abstract is also required.

As our ideal candidate, you will be a team collaborator while being able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will have sound knowledge of operating systems and livestream audio/video production related equipment, as well as the ability to troubleshoot technology issues in a high pressure, live and public environment.
