Title: Professional, Engineering- Air Systems/Pneumatics

You will be part of the Air Systems Engineering / Pneumatics Systems Discipline team where you will be involved in Aircraft Systems Engineering for Environmental Control, Bleed Air, Ice and Rain Protection, Cabin Pressurization, Fire/Smoke detection, Heaters, Oxygen, Flow distribution and Ventilation. In your role, you will:

  1. Act as a systems engineer and carry out pneumatics discipline activities
  2. Assure integration and interface management of assigned systems and coordinate with internal groups & suppliers
  3. Define pneumatic system architecture, prepare specifications and requirements, conduct functional modeling and trade studies
  4. Ensure requirements management, validation and verification
  5. Manage suppliers from a project and technical perspective
  6. Review and approve design documents such as vendor drawings, test procedures, acceptance test procedures, qualification reports and certification documents
  7. Document analysis, ground, and flight test results
  8. Prepare technical reports to show compliance to the applicable certification requirements
  9. Support the build and operation of test platforms (rigs, flight test vehicles)
  10. Work within multi-disciplinary team to address product definition or issue resolution
  11. Prepare design change modifications and optimized solutions
  12. Support production and in-service teams in troubleshooting systems related issues
  13. Ensure adherence to program schedule and milestones
  14. Contribute to Knowledge Domain and Bombardier Engineering System (BES)

As our ideal candidate:

  1. You have a bachelor’s or master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering
  2. You have ideally 2-5 years of relevant technical experience in an aerospace engineering field
  3. You have excellent knowledge of fluid flow and thermodynamic concepts
  4. You quickly understand complex issues and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. You possess basic knowledge in the pneumatics field and interfacing technical disciplines such as system installation, stress, power plant and others
  6. You are familiar with component qualification (DO-160, Mil-Std 810)
  7. You are familiar with Design Process Assurance (ARP4754 A)
  8. You have knowledge in functional modeling and system performance testing
  9. You are comfortable with the technical aspects of engineering as well as project management
  10. You have a good knowledge of MS Office tools
  11. You have knowledge of system design tools such as CATIA, Model Based Engineering or simulation software
  12. You are a recognized team player; work well in a team environment and create a collaborative relationship with other team members
  13. You are self-motivated, dynamic and a good communicator
  14. You possess good interpersonal skills as well as good written and oral communication skills
  15. You are willing to travel for short-term assignments
  16. Bilingualism (French and English) would be an asset
