We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Etobicoke, Ontario. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, carrying out full cycle accounting, and assisting with year-end audits. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities:- Assist with the completion of year-end audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.- Perform full cycle accounting tasks, including account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.- Prepare and present financial statements for review.- Utilize various tools and software such as Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to perform tasks efficiently.- Regularly perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and reflect the company's financial transactions.- Perform month-end close tasks in a timely and efficient manner.- Utilize MS Great Plains Dynamics and Great Plains (GPAC) for various accounting tasks.- Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is essential- Demonstrated experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries management- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel- Experience in Month End Close procedures- Proficiency in using accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, MS Great Plains Dynamics, and Great Plains (GPAC)- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field is preferred- Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
