AIC Global Holdings Inc., located in Burlington, Ontario, is a subsidiary of the global conglomerate Portland Holdings Inc.  We are currently seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our in-house legal team. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our General Counsel and assisting Law Clerks in various tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to manage large volumes of documents is a must.

Essential Functions:

  • Organize and send out documents, receive executed documents, and maintain filing systems.
  • Prepare corporate documents and instruments and input corporation details into corporate databases.
  • Assist in closing out corporate records and preparing correspondence.
  • Draft basic legal documents, including resolutions, certificates etc.
  • Manage diarizing of future events and follow-ups.
  • Maintain minute books and physical files, ensuring accuracy and organization.
  • Assist in special projects as needed, such as preparing organizational charts and corporate profiles.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree/College Diploma – Legal Assistant an asset

 

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of Corporate Law experience.
