Reporting to the North America Sales Manager, this role offers a thrilling opportunity to shape the future of tunneling projects in Canada.


Role Summary: As the Tunnel Projects Manager/Engineer, you'll be the driving force behind profitable business development on major tunnel projects, primarily in Toronto and Montreal. Your role extends beyond traditional responsibilities; it's about fostering relationships, identifying opportunities, and understanding the nuances of tunneling methods such as TBMs and Road Headers. Your technical curiosity and hands-on approach will set the stage for success as you delve into product development processes and immerse yourself in onsite terminology and operations. Although working across our full range of tunneling solutions, this role will primarily focus on TBM greases, sealants, soil conditioning and grouts


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engagement and Relationship Building: Develop a deep understanding of the tunnelling industry and its key players, from contractors to industry bodies like the Canada Tunnelling Society. Your likable demeanor and proactive approach will open doors and create opportunities to engage with contractors onsite.
  • Technical Curiosity: Demonstrate a genuine interest in onsite processes and product development, actively participating in production, technical, and testing processes. By understanding the intricacies of the products and terminology used onsite, you'll be better equipped to provide tailored solutions to customers.
  • Market Understanding: Identify and target the right audience, whether it's owners like Bouygues and Ghella, contractors specializing in injection or shotcreting, or industry bodies. Your ability to grasp the unique needs of each audience segment will drive targeted engagement and sales strategies.

  • Industry Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of standard tunnelling methods and terminology, including TBM operations, shield technology, and segment erection. Your knowledge will be instrumental in building credibility and trust with customers.
  • Relationship Builder: Excel at fostering relationships and creating opportunities to engage with contractors onsite. Your proactive approach and likable demeanor will be key assets in driving business growth.
  • Technical Aptitude: Combine technical curiosity with a hands-on approach, eagerly participating in product development processes and onsite operations. Your ability to grasp the intricacies of products and processes will enhance your effectiveness in sales and customer support.
