Adecco is currently recruiting for a Senior Labour and Human Resources Specialist for a permanent position with our client in Cornwall, ON. This position is 100% onsite requiring the successful candidate to be able to reliably commute to the job site daily.Why Work With Us:Quick to hireCompany eventsHealth benefitsPaid vacationEAPOn-Site parkingCasual dress The Senior Labour and Human Resources Specialist will have the following responsibilities:Negotiate collective agreements, mediate labor disputes and grievances, and provide advice on employee and labor relationsConduct and lead internal investigationsDevelop and maintain effective key stakeholders relationships within client groups and provide your support in HR related mattersCollaborate with the Director, Human Resources, the HR team and business leaders to ensure alignment of programs and policies with overall strategic directionSupport the execution of HR strategies, policies, procedures, and programs to sustain continued growth and retention.Respond to questions from management and employees on a variety of HR matters and escalating higher level and serious matters to Director of HR.Facilitate day to day employee/labor relations, including complaint resolution and disciplinary actions.Strong teamwork orientation as well as the ability to work independently.Provide support and assist with hourly and salaried personnel recruitment and provide onboarding support to hiring managers.Assist in implementing various HR initiatives, including providing recommendations on process improvements.Other HR projects as assigned by Management.The Senior Labour and Human Resources Specialist should have the following qualifications and skills:Post-secondary degree/education in Human ResourcesCHRP or working towards CHRP designation is an asset10 years of specialized Labour and Human Resources experience in a hands-on HR roleExperience in a unionized manufacturing environment Extensive working knowledge of Employment Standards, Human Rights, and Labor legislation requiredExcellent communication skills combined with demonstrated problem solving abilityResults orientated, self-starter with exceptional interpersonal skillsSuperior collaborative and teamwork skills with the ability to quickly shift priorities to meet organization requirements collectivelyStrong professionalism and diplomacy pertaining to all areas of discretion and confidentiality.Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)If you are interested in applying to our Senior Labour and Human Resources Specialist position, please submit your resume as soon as possible by clicking on the 'Apply with Adecco' button.
