Taylor Ryan has partnered with a well established real estate investment and development company, operating out of the Okanagan valley in central British Columbia. A prime asset is a 40-acre waterfront next to Kelowna's downtown core with the aim to transform a large industrial property into a master-planned, destination waterfront neighborhood.


Location: You will be based either in Kelowna or City of Vernon. We are open to accepting applications from Vancouver or other nearby metropolitan cities for relocation opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage projects through all stages of development, including pre-construction, construction, and project close-out.
  • Budget & Schedule Management: Develop, manage, and track project budgets, schedules, and timelines. Ensure adherence to project financials and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progress is on schedule.
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations: Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders, external clients, and municipal agencies to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues that arise, and ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and enforce quality standards throughout the construction process, ensuring work is completed to specifications and with the highest attention to detail.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate, review, and manage contracts with third-party vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver project status reports, financial reports, and documentation to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Sustainability & Innovation: Support the integration of sustainable practices, green building initiatives, and innovative design solutions into projects.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management within the multifamily and/or mixed-use real estate development sector, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.
  • Local Knowledge: Strong understanding of the BC real estate market, including permitting processes, building codes, and local construction practices.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading drawings, preparing construction budgets and overall project pro formas, and MS Office Suite. Experience on land development projects is an asset.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, municipal staff, and public bodies (residents associations, etc.).
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex project challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative approach to project delivery. Confidence to represent Owners.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a real estate developer or general contractor
  • Familiarity with LEED or other green building certifications.
  • Experience managing large-scale, high-density residential or mixed-use developments.
