SUMMARY:

Community Living Glengarry based in Alexandria Ontario is seeking a dedicated Executive Director to join our team. Are you a dynamic leader passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, if yes then this role might be for you 

This position offers you the opportunity to shape and enhance residential living and support services, while fostering a culture rooted in integrity, collaboration, and service excellence. T he Executive Director plans, implements, monitors and sustains the organizational strategies required to enable effective services and supports. The Executive Director safeguards, promotes and protects the rights and interests of people who have an intellectual disability and their families, in a way that is consistent with organizational vision, mission, values, beliefs and strategic objectives.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead with Purpose:  Provide strategic leadership to our group living and support services, ensuring they align with our mission and vision.
  • Operational Oversight:  Manage the implementation and execution of programs, processes, and policies aimed at improving service efficiency and delivery to clients.
  • Collaborative Leadership:  Foster an environment that prioritizes well-being empowering team members to achieve their best.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:  Ensure all operations and programs adhere to relevant legislation and policies, maintaining the highest standards of care and accountability.

·        Build Relationships:  Cultivate strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support and advance our organizational goals

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

 

The ideal candidate will preferably possess an undergraduate university degree in a relevant discipline. Post graduate degree or diploma would be considered an asset.

This is a Designated Position and fluently bilingual in French and English (written and oral) is required.

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

·      Seven (7) to ten (10) years of management experience in a related field with an emphasis on organizational leadership.

·      Skilled in working with clients with developmental disabilities, complex needs behavioral issues or mental health disorders.

·      Preference to those who have experience within a unionized work environment.

·      Proven track record of senior management experience working in the non-profit sector.

·      Experience in delivering flexible individualized support and building community within the lives of people with a disability and their families.

·      Experience in program planning, development and evaluation.

·        Experience in alternative revenue generation, fund raising and grant writing.

  • High level of experience in operational, program, and change management, and strategic planning.
  • A team builder who excels in empowering and guiding others to success.
  • A communicator with exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Technology proficiency including office productivity, databases and social media platforms.

·      Confident and consistent decision-making skills.

  • Knowledgeable of applicable legislation, financial stewardship, and resource allocation


EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

 

Specific terms and conditions of employment are specified in organizational policy and the employment contract including but not limited to the following:

•         Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable transportation

•         Police Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector

 

ANTICIPATED STARTING DATE:  Tuesday, May 20, 2025 (or as mutually agreed)
