Your new role

The VP, Financial Planning & Analysis is a newly created role reporting to their CFO, and leading a team of 8+ direct and indirect reports overseeing all aspects of the financial planning and analysis function. The VP will collaborate closely with the VP, Finance and Controller as a direct partner and peer, and provide strategic financial insight and leadership to drive business performance and ensure alignment with the company's long-term objectives. This role will be instrumental in guiding the senior leadership team in financial decision-making, identifying growth opportunities, and mitigating risks. The VP will combine strong business acumen with compelling, data-informed storytelling to influence and guide the company’s financial trajectory. Some of the key areas of responsibility for the role include;

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and refine the company’s strategic vision, financial goals, and measurable objectives.

Stakeholder Management:

Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, board members, and external partners.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Oversee financial statements, summaries, cost-benefit analyses, and management reports.

Forecasting and Budgeting:

Lead the strategic planning process, including budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

Leadership and Team Development:

Mentor and develop a high-performing team.

Business Acumen and Storytelling:

Utilize a deep understanding of the business to guide data-informed forecasting and financial decisions and provide compelling narratives that convey the implications of financial data to stakeholders.


What you'll need to succeed

The suitable candidate will have 10-15 + years overall experience with 5+ years in a senior leadership role within a SaaS (software as a service) based organization combined with either a CPA, CFA or MBA. You will have proven expertise in the developing and managing of annual budgets, forecasts, and complex multi-year financial models. You will possess executive-level communication abilities, including reporting, presentations, and stakeholder engagement. Strong leadership capabilities are essential with a focus on developing and mentoring team members. Familiarity with subscriber-based businesses or similar industries is highly desirable. Exposure to international financial operations and regulations are considered an asset. You will posses a solid understanding of business operations and strategy, translating financial data into actionable insights and exceptional skill in crafting compelling, data-informed narratives that influence strategic decisions.
