Position SummaryWe are seeking a Maintenance Asisstant to join our Maintenance team at our Hagersville facility. This entry-level role supports daily maintenance activities and preventive maintenance programs to help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations in a regulated dairy manufacturing environment.This position is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience and developing technical skills within industrial maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Maintenance Technicians with routine maintenance and repair tasksSupport preventive maintenance (PM) activities and related documentationPrepare tools, materials, and parts required for maintenance workPerform basic mechanical tasks under supervisionMaintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance work areasFollow Health & Safety, GMP, HACCP, and WHMIS requirementsAssist with parts handling, inventory organization, and restockingCommunicate maintenance-related observations to the Maintenance teamAttend required training and perform other duties as assignedQualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalentInterest in maintenance, mechanical work, or industrial operationsManufacturing or food processing experience is an asset but not requiredBasic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learnAbility to work safely and collaboratively in a team environmentReliable transportation and ability to commute to the Hagersville facilityAbility to perform physical job duties, including lifting up to 40 lbsWhy Join UsCompetitive group insurance, RRSP, and DPSP programs.Paid vacation and comprehensive health benefits.Opportunity to be part of a collaborative and dynamic team.Join a growing organization with a strong and proven track record of success.InclusivityAt Hewitt’s Dairy Ltd., we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered.
