We are in search of a highly-skilled individual who enjoys driving the estimating processes while ensuring safety of the team. The right candidate will be a champion of project planning, estimation, management, and safety compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Excel at understanding contract drawings and performing quantity takeoffs
  • Possess stellar negotiation skills with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Develop precise project estimates incorporating all costs
  • Pioneer competitive bids & collaborate effectively with project management teams
  • Aid in streamlining project management: timelines, resource allocation and cost tracking
  • Rigorously work with the management team on maintaining project budgets and controlling expenses
  • Foster exceptional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Ensure integrity and organization of all estimate/project documents


Being a Safety Coordinator at heart, the successful candidate will also:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs
  • Oversee all aspects of WCB compliance
  • Conduct regular job site safety inspections and risk assessments
  • Be relentless in the pursuit of safety, investigating accidents/near misses and implementing corrective actions
  • Consistently promote safety awareness through training, toolbox talks and WCB protocols
  • Maintain comprehensive records of safety audits, incident reports - fully compliant with regulatory requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Engineering Credentials Preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in a safety, coordination and project management role
  • Unmatched knowledge of construction safety regulations and processes
  • Stellar skills in budgeting, project estimation, communication and leadership
  • CPR, WHMIS and relevant safety/project management certifications
  • Valid driver’s license & open to travel to various job sites


Additional Skills:

  • Diploma/Certification in Health and Safety, Project Management
  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Familiarity with safety equipment and advanced construction technology
  • Ability to multitask and juggle various projects and deadlines
