Phillips Bridge Seafood is a leading seafood processing company specializing in live, pasteurized, and frozen lobster, crab & other seafood products. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in our operations. Our team is dedicated to providing the best products to our customers while ensuring sustainable and ethical practices. The QA manager will have responsibility for managing the FSQA program and quality control staff in four production plants and one live facility located in PEI and NB.


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the company's quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our products from the receiving of raw materials to the shipping of finished goods.


Essential Responsibilities

·        Conduct routine inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.

·        Monitor and document processing conditions to ensure compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), GMPs, Allergen, Sanitation, and other food safety standards.

·        Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.

·        Collaborate with production staff to address and resolve quality issues.

·        Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.

·        Assist in the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

·        Train QC technicians and production staff on quality control processes and standards.

·        Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits as required.

·        Stay updated with industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.

·        Document any non-conformities and assist in the investigation and resolution of quality issues.


Qualifications:


·        Bachelor’s degree in food science, biology, or related field preferred.

·        Previous experience in a quality assurance role within the seafood or food processing industry is highly desirable.

·        SQF experience

·        Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, Allergens, Sanitation and other relevant food safety standards.

·        Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·        Good communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).


Physical Requirements:

·        Ability to work in a cold, wet, and fast-paced environment.

·        Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

·        Standing and walking for extended periods.
