À propos de vos responsabilités

À titre d’avocat.e salarié.e. vous serez en charge de tous les aspects liés aux dossiers clients, entre autres, vous fournirez des avis, des conseils et des opinions juridiques, conforme aux lois et réglementations, dans le but d’aider les clients à tirer le meilleur parti de leurs stratégies d’immigration et de mobilité internationale. Une journée typique dans vos fonctions

  • Assurer un service conseil auprès des clients
  • Procéder à l’analyse et la synthèse des nouveaux dossiers pour déterminer le plan d’action approprié
  • Représenter et accompagner les clients à travers les différentes étapes de préparation du dossier d’immigration
  • Gérer des dossiers en partenariat avec les membres de l’équipe et colliger tous les renseignements du client, au besoin
  • Effectuer des recherches en droit, réviser des procédures ministérielles et ensuite les communiquer aux membres de l’équipe
  • Rechercher, analyser, traiter et gérer des données et de l’information de manière responsable et confidentielle
  • Rédiger des documents juridiques et administratifs
  • Valider la conformité des dossiers et veiller à ce que tous les documents requis pour les demandes d’application soient complétés avec précision et déposés dans les délais prescrits
  • Communiquer et collaborer régulièrement et efficacement avec vos pairs (à l’interne et à l’externe), tous les membres de l’équipe, les clients et les instances gouvernementales
  • Demeurer au fait des changements relatifs aux lois, aux règlements, aux procédures et aux politiques d’immigration


À propos de votre profil

  • Vous détenez un baccalauréat en droit
  • Vous êtes membre du barreau d’une province ou d’un territoire au Canada
  • Vous détenez au moins deux années d’expérience en droit de l’immigration
  • Vous faites preuve de proactivité, de rigueur professionnelle et d’intelligence émotionnelle
  • Vous avez le souci du détail, êtes autonome et orienté résultats
  • Vous êtes capable de travailler avec un minimum de supervision, de hiérarchiser vos priorités et de gérer votre temps
  • Vous êtes en mesure de travailler sur plusieurs dossiers concomitants tout en respectant les échéanciers
  • Vous avez de l’aisance à interagir, à communiquer et à maintenir des partenariats ainsi que des relations harmonieuses avec une clientèle diverse et vos collègues
  • Vous possédez d’excellentes habiletés à communiquer, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, en français et en anglais

Our boutique law firm focuses exclusively on immigration-related matters for foreign individuals and clients who wish to bring to Canada the talent they need to grow their business. In addition, our firm provides assistance in the relocation to Canada of executive staff, business people and professionals.


About your responsibilities

As an Associate Lawyer, you will manage all aspects of client files including, among other things, providing advice and legal opinions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as suggesting courses of action with the aim of helping clients make the most of their immigration and international mobility strategies. All in a fast-paced work environment where collaboration and collegiality prevail.


A typical day as Associate Lawyer with us

  • Provide advice to clients
  • Analyze and evaluate new applications as well as determine the appropriate action plan
  • Represent and support clients through the various preparation stages of their immigration file
  • In partnership with the team members, manage files and collect all client information, as needed
  • Conduct legal research, review ministerial procedures and communicate them to your team members
  • Research, analyze, process and manage data and information in a responsible and confidential manner
  • Draft legal and administrative documents
  • Validate the compliance of the applications and ensure that all required documents pertaining to an application are completed accurately as well as filed within the prescribed deadlines
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly and effectively with your peers (internal & external), all team members, clients and government authorities
  • Stay on top of changes in immigration laws, regulations, procedures and policies


About your profile

  • You hold a Bachelor degree in Law
  • You are a member of a Canadian provincial or territorial law society
  • You have at least two years of experience in Immigration Law
  • You demonstrate proactivity, professional rigor and emotional intelligence
  • You pay attention to details, are resourceful and result oriented
  • You are able to work with a minimum of supervision, set your priorities and manage your time
  • You are able to work on several concurrent files while respecting deadlines
  • You are comfortable interacting, communicating and maintaining partnerships as well as harmonious relationships with your colleagues and a diverse clientele
  • You have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in French and English
