Job Title: Immigration Lawyer

Martineau & Mindicanu is seeking a highly skilled Immigration Lawyer to join our team. As an Immigration Lawyer, you will be responsible for advising clients on their legal rights and matters related to immigration law.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on their legal rights and matters related to immigration law
  • Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law
  • Perform management functions related to the practice of law
  • Plead clients' cases before courts of law, tribunals, and boards
  • Draw up legal documents and prepare statements of legal opinion
  • Supervise professional, para-legal, and support staff and articling students
  • Research legal precedents and gather evidence
  • Write and edit for legal publications
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years or more of experience
  • Membership in a provincial or territorial law society
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment
