Our client, a multi $BN Canadian organization is seeking an experienced HR professional to add capacity and capability to their team as they embark on a critical organizational transformation. This role partners with the CHRO and the executive leadership team as the organization embarks on a massive multi year expansion to ensure they have the right culture and talent in place in line with their future organizational needs. To be successful in this role you will have a deep background in HR, have extensive experience working in large complex environments, have led modernization and cultural transformational projects and love a challenge.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Be a strategic partner who contributes to developing the new culture by balancing leadership’s mission with the reality of employees’ needs and capabilities.
  • Analyze and present relevant data to drive a strategic approach to change management.
  • Build a strategy for identifying ways the desired culture should be or is already being displayed throughout the organization.
  • Complete an organizational readiness assessment.
  • Define the opportunities from the assessment and create a strategy for cultural transformation.
  • Create the metrics and data-driven insights to see where the new culture is prevailing and what needs to be improved.
  • Support organizational redesign, development, and change management; prepare leaders for the execution of change; support clients with prioritization, stabilization, and engagement tactics.
  • Be the trusted advisor to senior leaders on human capital issues that support organizational development and/or protect the organization.
  • Monitor progress, manage risk, and confirm key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
  • Align policies and processes with the culture change.
  • Provide opportunities for employees to define and actively engage in the new set of behaviors and norms.
  • Engage with employees, union representatives, clients, and other stakeholders impacted by organizational change.
  • Develops and monitors strategies aimed at maintaining a healthy workplace culture including strategies, programs, and initiatives related to employee communications, engagement, and relations across all organization’s programs and offices.
  • Ensure legislative compliance (employment standards, health and safety, human rights, etc.).


Competencies and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or other similar area of study plus a Human Resources designation (CHRL, CHRP).
  • 10+ years or more of relevant work experience with an emphasis on employee engagement, employee experience, organizational effectiveness, and cultural transformation.
  • Progressive experience in a complex unionized environment is ideal.
  • Have worked in organizations with diverse employees from the front line to corporate teams.
  • Demonstrated achievement in strategy development and execution.
  • Strong, well-developed business acumen with a proven ability to influence and impact others.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in leading large organizational change initiatives.
