Position Detail

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

Hourly Wage: $41.00/hr

Weekly Hours: 35 hours

Responsibilities

-Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet Arctic Digital's standards and client requirements.

-Collaborate with team members to design and implement software features and enhancements, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.

-Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

-Identify and address technical challenges and bottlenecks proactively, applying innovative solutions to optimize performance and scalability.

-Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing best practices to enhance Arctic Digital's software development processes.

-Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to promote code quality and consistency.

-Troubleshoot and debug software issues reported by clients or identified during testing, implementing timely resolutions to minimize disruption.

-Document software designs, implementations, and processes comprehensively, ensuring clarity and maintainability for future reference.

Qualifications

-A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline ( or equivalent years of work experience)

-Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and best practices

-Experience with web development frameworks and technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (e.g., React.js, Angular, Vue.js), and familiarity with server-side frameworks like Node.js or Django is an asset

-Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including database design, SQL querying, and database optimization techniques is a bonus

-Experience with version control systems such as Git, including branching, merging, and managing code repositories effectively is a plus
