What you can expect to do here:
  • The position(s) will entail supporting our engineers and projects in various areas of our business.
  • The position(s) will vary from office work to lab/field support, depending on project workloads.
  • Some of the specific areas in the office may include compilation and presentation of geological and geotechnical data, calculations, instrumentation data processing, assistance with engineering design, and use of AutoCAD and design/modelling software.
  • Field work may include providing support for borehole drilling investigations, instrumentation installations and monitoring, and/or construction supervision

What you'll bring to WSP:

  • Our preference is for a Civil Engineering Student in workterm 4/5 students, particularly if they have completed soil mechanics or geotechnical engineering course(s) and have a strong interest in geotechnical engineering.
  • Strong computer skills would be an asset.
