The Opportunity:

WSP Canada is growing and our ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) division is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer (P.Eng.) for one of our GTA based offices to work on our wide range of projects in the public sector and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will bring technical knowledge and a proven track record of successful project delivery. As a Structural Engineer, you will oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.

This role is a hybrid position and can ideally be based out of our Etobicoke, Mississauga, or Thornhill office.

What you can expect to do here:
  • Analysis and design of Timber, Steel, and Concrete Structures.
  • Analysis and design of foundation systems.
  • Preparation of construction drawings, and structural calculations.
  • Visit project sites and perform construction reviews.
  • Interact with clients, design partners, and contractors.
  • Write technical reports and assist in proposal preparations.
  • Support project management, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and within budget.

What you'll bring to WSP:
  • B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License in Ontario (primary requirement)
  • 5 to 8 years of structural design experience in consulting engineering firms.
  • Knowledge of CSA design standards, and National/ Ontario Building Codes, specifically Parts 9 and 4.
  • Eligible for federal security clearance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as WoodWorks, S-Frame, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit Structure.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a valid Full-G driver's license.
