Overview

The Healthcare Zone Supervisor is assigned responsibility, accountability, and authority to monitor all work activities of their staff members, to identify and report any problems which could have an impact on the company's service delivery. Maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, contractors, and visitors alike. Be familiar with and follow current policy and procedures for the Alberta Health Services contract.
•Responsible for visiting all Lethbridge and area hospitals to ensure security officers are monitoring site policies and procedures
•Monitor, identify, and report any health and safety deficiencies on their site, and instruct all staff in good work safe practices
•Provide guards with continued and adequate training as it relates to the duties and responsibilities of the position
•Ensure new guards have read and signed required acknowledgements for site orders, the security guard training manual, and OH&S manual
•Provide constructive feedback and suggestions to the Client Service Manager about any relevant staff issues
•Ensure all email inquiries, requests, etc. are attended and replied to in a timely manner
•Monitor daily and nightly incident reports to ensure both relevancy and accuracy
•Ensure that all services provided by site staff, are delivered as per clients request
•Ensure that all services provided comply with Paladin Code of Ethics and the Policy and Procedure Manual
•Other duties as assigned

Job Skills / Requirements

Requirements:
•Hold a valid security license
•Has held employment with Paladin Security in Healthcare for over one year (a strong asset)
•Holds a full Class 5 Driver's License, and can provide a clean Driver's Abstract for the last three years
•Computer literate and able to easily assimilate knowledge of site systems
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Strong knowledge of the security functions and requirements at the site
•Dependable and professional in all job functions
•Able to display objectivity and sound judgement
•Able to inspire other by knowledge, experience and willingness to assist

Education Requirements (Any)

High School Diploma/GED

Certification Requirements (Any)

Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Valid Security Licence
