Land Use and Permitting Planner

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Manage thepermitting and approvals processfor a portfolio of projects to enable new datacenter development and constructionthroughout region.
- Conductcomprehensiveassessments during due diligence, design and construction to identify regulatory requirements and associated risks.
- Coordinate with key internalcounterpartsincluding land development,design, construction,operations and environmental teamleaderstodevelopcomprehensiveand integrated permitting and project deliverystrategies and schedules.
- Communicate key risks, mitigations, and policies to internal client stakeholders.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovative solutionsto resolve schedule delays.
- Develop engagement strategies and representclient in key meetings with applicable Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), external stakeholders,and the public tofacilitatedatacenter development.
- Own key strategic relationships with AHJs, government officials and other key external stakeholders and act as a single point of contact for all discussions around permitting, planning approvals, and pre-construction delivery.
- Supportthe development of program tools and processes to continuously improve the delivery of permits, approvals, and entitlements fordatacenter development.
- Educate the project team on permitting requirements to ensure timely approvals and compliance.
- Manage permit approval conditions to ensure compliance.
- Key Metrics will include permitting and delivery timeline predictability.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience delivering large scale and/or complex land development projects.
- Experience delivering permits and planning approvals, and other entitlements for large scale and/or complex construction projects.
- Experience managing a portfolio of projects and associated budgets and schedules.
- Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional and positive working relationships with internal and external teams including environmental consultants, attorneys, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and high standards for quality of deliverables.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Valid Drivers License.
Preferred:
- Community Engagement and Stakeholder engagement experience.
- Mission critical design and/or construction experience.
- Experience in delivering projects in multiple states/countries.
