At Sierra Construction Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Land Development Planner to lead our land development projects from initial site acquisition to completion. This role involves overseeing planning, coordination, and implementation to ensure compliance with zoning and regulatory requirements, environmental regulations, and project goals.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented planner to work on various projects, including residential subdivisions, commercial centers, mixed-use developments, and industrial parks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive site assessments to determine development feasibility, including evaluating site conditions, zoning regulations, environmental constraints, and existing infrastructure.
  • Identifying, acquiring, and analyzing potential development sites, assessing site conditions, and market conditions.
  • Developing creative and functional master plans that meet project vision, stakeholder expectations, and environmental objectives.
  • Navigating the entitlement process by preparing and submitting applications, technical reports, and presentations for rezoning, variances, conditional use permits, and other necessary approvals.

You will work effectively with internal teams, clients, developers, architects, engineers, government agencies, and community stakeholders throughout the development process. Additionally, you will manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Studies, or a related field, and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in land development planning. Your skills and qualifications should include:

  • In-depth knowledge of project management, budgeting, and analytical thinking.
  • Outstanding collaboration skills to resolve project-related issues.
  • Proficient in using GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS), AutoCAD, and other relevant planning tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on your level of experience. You will also have opportunities for professional growth and development within our dynamic and innovative organization.
