Intermediate Engineer, Water/Wastewater - Ottawa

We're seeking a skilled Intermediate Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Ottawa, working on water and wastewater projects.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position that requires a strong interest in water and wastewater projects, with a focus on developing and sharing great ideas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct studies and Class EAs for water and wastewater projects.
  • Organize and prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final process designs for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, and intakes and outfalls.
  • Prepare AutoCAD design drawings.
  • Assist with shop drawings review and coordination.
  • Participate in contract administration during construction.
  • Perform site inspections as required.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a University degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater projects.
  • Registered as an EIT with the PEO, with a valid P. Eng. designation an asset.
  • Experience in using AutoCAD 2015 or newer versions.
  • Experience with Biowin and Revit an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Superior English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with staff, project team members, and clients.
  • A valid driver's license with access to a vehicle.
