About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in the Water and Wastewater Treatment sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the structural design of medium to large environmental infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment plants and conveyance structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the structural design of medium to large environmental infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment plants and conveyance structures.
  • Work and collaborate with an established, multidisciplinary, integrated technical team of architects, planners, engineers, and technologists.
  • Leverage innovative design solutions, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), alternate project delivery models, and collaborative technologies to streamline the multidisciplinary consulting process.
  • Carry out studies and prepare reports, design steel, concrete, and masonry structures, and provide technical support and contract administration during construction for new water/wastewater facilities and upgrades to existing plants.
  • Participate in the development of competitive proposals to secure new assignments.
  • Participate in continued education through formal technical training and collaborative presentations.
  • Assist with workload management to ensure project deadlines are met and final deliverables align with client expectations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technologists.
  • Act as a Discipline Lead on multidisciplinary projects, taking leadership of the structural design team, driving the overall design, coordinating across all intersecting disciplines, taking responsibility for the budget and schedule of the structural deliverables, being responsible for the QA/QC processes, and stamping the final deliverables.
