Job Summary: Fabricate and repair artificial limbs and braces to provide maximum fit, function, appearance, and workmanship for patients at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre.
Job DescriptionFabricate and repair artificial limbs and braces (prostheses or orthoses) to provide maximum fit, function, appearance, and workmanship.
- Work independently to create customized prosthetic and orthotic devices
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate fit and function
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and families
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in prosthetic and orthotic technology
- Registered Technician in Orthotics and/or a Registered Technician in Prosthetics
- Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician Program
- 2 years of training/experience working as a Prosthetics & Orthotics Technician
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
