Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Prosthetics & Orthotics Technician to join our team at Health Careers in Sask. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing artificial limbs and braces to provide maximum fit, function, appearance, and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and repair prosthetic and orthotic devices to meet individual patient needs
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate fit and function of devices
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements
  • Certified professional (or registered technician) prior to becoming registered
  • Two (2) years (3450 hours) training/experience working as a Prosthetics & Orthotics Technician under the supervision of an on-site professional
  • Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician Program
  • Registered Technician in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics
Competencies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
