We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker II to join our team at Burnaby Hospital. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our cafeteria.
Responsibilities- Prepare and manage cash registers, including counting and balancing cash receipts.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, including making beverages and preparing cold food items.
- Perform cleaning tasks, such as sweeping and mopping floors, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and replenishing food and supply stock.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Grade 10, plus one (1) year's recent related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current Food Safe Level 1 certification or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
