Position: Database Administrator

Reporting to: Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure and Operations

Location: Head Office, Toronto, ON; Hybrid

What to expect in this role:

  • Automate code deployment, configuration, and monitoring.
  • Optimize database availability and performance.
  • Maintain data access, uptime, and performance.
  • Implement, maintain, and audit data access, performance, and security.
  • Create and test database backup strategy.
  • Documentation maintenance.
  • Develop, maintain, and support change management processes.
  • Efficiently interact with staff and provide guidance.
  • Offer 3rd level support and liaise with vendors.
  • Participate in on-call and incident response as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of Oracle DB Administrator experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of Microsoft SQL DB Administrator experience.
  • Expertise in performance tuning and scalable database design.
  • Experience in managing real-time database applications in Azure and hybrid cloud.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, agile principles, and product management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Current certification in related technologies is a plus.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada and pass a criminal background check.
